We are after the premiere of “Whole Life” by Joanna Oparek, directed by the author.
“Whole Life” is a bloody, contemporary drama, with a lot of comedy and strongly outlined characters.
At the end of summer, in a luxurious villa in Tuscany, a couple with complicated relationships meet random tourists who travel in a coach-surfing formula. During the prolonged evening, after dinner and a large amount of wine, there are violent discussions and real vivisection. Myths and images fall. Frustrations, resentments and secrets emerge that can only be revealed to complete strangers, who will never be seen again. The game begins and cannot be interrupted anymore. Nobody will come out of here victorious, and nobody will let themselves be beaten.
Both protagonists of the drama formulate their life manifestos and question them immediately, presenting at the same time a range of different emotions, attitudes and views towards which a modern woman – a woman who wants her entire life and is also responsible for her entire life – must define herself, and often simply check for yourself.
“The most important thing, however, is that “Whole Life “at the Municipal Theater is great to watch and listens to well, which is helped by the leitmotiv from Paolo Conte’s song” Via con me “, which I remembered thanks to the performance and now I hum it obsessively. which we have in Polish theaters as a medicine. “

“We are watching a very tasty comedy about people who want to be perfect, like in Instagram films that falsify reality. In a Tuscan evening we managed to contain the lives of not only the heroes, but also those sitting in the audience.”
