On 22 February 2025, the Main Stage of the Municipal Theatre in Gliwice hosted the premiere of “Dracula”, directed by Jakub Roszkowski — a faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker’s iconic 1897 novel.
I played Dr John Seward, alongside Klaudia Cygoń-Majchrowska (Lucy Westenra), Alicja Stasiewicz (Mina Murray), Mariusz Galilejczyk (Jonathan Harker), Cezary Jabłoński (Professor Van Helsing) and Kornel Sadowski (Renfield). The set design, costumes and lighting were by Mirek Kaczmarek; live music was performed by Dominik Strycharski — recipient of the Paszport Polityki award in 2021.
The production received enthusiastic reviews from Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Zachodni, Nowiny Gliwickie and e-teatr.pl — all available on the theatre’s website. Critics praised the exceptional atmosphere, outstanding design and the work of the entire ensemble. Małgorzata Lichecka in Nowiny Gliwickie wrote that the production is “watched with great curiosity, full of admiration for the craft of the actors and the creative team alike.”
“Dracula” received a nomination for the Golden Masks theatre awards in Silesia for 2025 in the category of Production of the Year.
